ELITE KLAN HAVE ANNOUNCED THE ACQUISITION OF FINNISH ESPORTS ORGANIZATION VELLAMO.

Founded in 2023, the organization currently operates a fully Finnish Counter Strike roster, which will now be called Elite Klan VELLAMO. The Counter Strike team consists of: Ville “VilleS” Saviniemi Mikko “ItzMqss” Heiskanen Joonas “VeleHo” Sipilä Jero “StE4” Kuula Veeti “Veiska” Pekkola Wille “r0usty” Turunen (C) The team will compete in the upcoming ESEA Intermediate League Season 50, which is set to start on July 15th. Some of their achievements in the past include being one win away from advancing to ESEA Main in Season 49 as well as qualifying to the Playoffs in both Seasons 48 and 49. Additionally, the VELLAMO staff members will all be incorporated into the broader Elite Klan team, which will expand Elite Klan’s influence in the Nordic region. These include founders “Tuure” and “mukee” who ran the video editing and graphics divisions of VELLAMO as well as “Venq” who ran the social media division. Additionally, all three were involved with the daily operations and management of the organization. Under their new and expanded roles with Elite Klan, all three will continue managing the VELLAMO roster and will be responsible for more tasks within Elite Klan. These include but are not limited to graphics, video editing, and social media management. Dennis “walle” Wallenberg, founder and CEO of Elite Klan, on the acquisition:

We got to know each other and realized we would be stronger together, and decided to join forces by bringing the entire organization of Vellamo into Elite Klan. The deciding factor for me has been the people in the organization. The esports scene in Finland needs more ambitious esports clubs, and we are happy to contribute and help develop it positively.”
